Privacy Policy

Brown AI is built so that, in offline mode, no data ever leaves your machine. This policy documents exactly what is stored locally, where it is stored, and the narrow cases in which a network request happens.

What stays on your device

• Conversation history, memory index and retrieved documents — local SQLite store only.
• Inference for Ollama and GGUF models, Kokoro speech synthesis and Whisper transcription.
• Screenshots, clipboard history and file operations performed by the automation engine.

When a network request happens

• You explicitly select a cloud provider and supply your own API key.
• The app updater fetches release metadata and installers from GitHub Releases.
• Optional website analytics for download counts; no personal identifiers are collected.
